From the Desk of the Executive Director
Giving to the Eco Dream Affordable Housing Inc.
Eco Dream welcomes and appreciates donations, gifts, memberships, and support of all kinds and at all levels. As a 501c3 organization, Eco Dream, depends upon the generosity of its friends and members. All gifts to Eco Dream go to support its work of preserving the environment, providing affordable housing and exploring new technologies, safety measures in the new building codes as well the development of alternative energies and techniques in the future.
In 2010, Ecodream will focus on the building codes as they continue to be updated and to be involved in the safety for families as more new buildings are using vertical transportation both residentially and commercially. We will work on different projects to alert the public on safety or awareness as well as continue to work with the environment but to focus on the bay waters locally and globally.
We will continue to reach out to the public and select foundations for funding to address our concerns with the environment, housing and new technologies as it all continues to advance as scientific breakthroughs continue in all areas including housing and in marine technologies and how these two areas affect our environment.
We have learned from the past and will continue to learn as we evolve to meet these challenges and continue to develop new and inovative ways to meet them head on.
And as 2010 rolls in, we realize that due to the impact of severe housing shortages left by greedy banks that would sooner foreclose on families instead of at least renting the homes to them, forcing them out onto the street and homeless with families living in cars, tents and crowded into other friends and family, letting properties deteriorate and be destroyed by pest, weather and vandalism, the greed continues to rear its ugly head.
Bulk housing has surfaced. Ecodream believes that bulk housing that can be re-habbed to create green homes, green jobs and hope. 2010 should be a better year for everyone with a new administration and a new direction. No matter how many homes are re-built or upgraded, nothing will move forward until fundamental change begins in our finance and banking industry.
Peoples credit has been destroyed with no ability to purchase a home again for 7-10 years. We must find a way to allow families to rebuild their credit and hold on while things improve.
We shall continue to fight for those without voices. We shall continue to respect and care for those that have lost their homes. We cannot continue to fight without donations so all your support and generosity is truly appreciated.
Lets make 2010 the best year yet.
